Reflecting on 2014

At the start of every year, I make new years resolutions! And to be honest with you, they never work. However I made one resolution at the start of this year and I have kept it throughout 2014, which makes me very proud.

At the start of this year, I made a jar with the word 2014 on it and I told myself that every time something good happens, I would make a note of it and read them all on new years eve and not before! Which I have done! Before I read these earlier today, I could not remember what I wrote down. Its now new years eve, And I can't express how happy I am to be able to do this.

Here are some of my highlights of 2014:

I was in a school production of we will rock you- 12th-14th July
I got my first ever GCSE result, which was a B in English language
I had a amazing week doing work experience 30th-4th July
I met up with my family, who I had never seen before- June 28th
I got some of my GCSE results- 1 A* And two B's - August 21st
I went to ikea for the first time ever- May 30th
I Went to see the woman in black in theatre - 28th November
I watched the lion king the musical- 4th April
I had a amazing holiday in Devon- 9th- 16th August

Not only have a managed to keep to a new years resolution for once but I have some thing that I can always look back on and reflect on 2014. When someone asks, if you had a good year, I never know what to say as I can't remember. But with this jar, I can whole heartily say I have had a wonderful year and I can't wait for 2015.

I am most certainly going to be doing another one of these for the new year ( and you never know I could be making a very similar post to this one next year)

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe start to the new year
Thanks for reading x ♡♥
