Holiday Photo Diary: Cornwall 2018

Wow! This is an old-school post, isn't it? I've been doing these holiday photo diaries on my blog for so many years now. I love doing them because I love taking photos of the beautiful landscapes and sharing them with you guys but also because if I lose my photos, I know that at least I have a few stored on my blog to remember my holiday by.

Cornwall is such a majestic part of the country. You might remember if you are a long time reader and I mean a long time reader of my blog, I went to Cornwall in 2015, after I finished my GCSEs which seems like an eternity ago now, given that I have just finished my A-levels and about to start my degree!

As I spent another wonderful week in sunny Cornwall, I thought it was only right that I shared with you some of my favourite photos from that trip. I had such a great time, as expected staying in such a picturesque county. Fair warning, there is a lot of photos of the back of me with my arms in the air, come on... you didn't think I would pass up on some Instagram worthy shots now, did you?

We started off the holiday by going to our favourite seal sanctuary, who rescue, rehabilitate and releases seals and sea lions back into the wild. If you are down near Gweek, please go and pay them a visit, the work they do is fantastic and its a great day out for the family.

We then popped on down to Lizard, the most southerly point in the U.K and of course, I couldn't say no to an Instagram worthy shot.

What I love about going on holiday, which I just don't get to do at home, is explore places in the evening. One of the places we did visit on one of our evening adventures was Mullion Cove. Which was equally as beautiful as it was photogenic.

Another day, another trip out! The next day, we visited St Micheals Mount. When the tide is high, you have to visit it by boat, when its low you can walk along the causeway. We had to get the boat both ways, which is just as well because the hike up to the top, was a challenge, but the views were worth it!

We paid a trip to Newquay Zoo on our holiday. Of course, my favourite animals were the meerkats but they also had a sloth, which was so cute and we actually got to see it, inside of it being hidden for once like they normally are.

The great thing about Cornwall is that, as you drive along the coastal roads, you can stop and take pictures of the beautiful views and scenery! Come on! Look at those views!

Bedruthan steps was another place we visited during the week. Legend has it, these steps were used for a giant to walk across. To be fair, I was more interested in capturing the gorgeous views and the instagramable shots.

Another evening adventure, another pretty sunset!

We visited a lot of gardens in the week too. One of which had a very tricky maze it in, which we successfully completed- after some time I may add. Unfourtnaley the plants weren't all that photogenic, given the time of year.

And to round off the holiday, we went back to Lizard, had a cup of tea, fish and chips and possibly the best ice cream I have ever had in my life- lemon curd, it was to die for!

That rounds up my holiday photo diary for 2018, I hope you enjoyed this post and a look through some of the gorgeous places we had the pleasure of visiting in Cornwall. I am trying to get back into blogging, so hopefully, there will be more posts coming your way soon!

Thanks for reading, as always X
