Nowhere To Be Found By Louisa De Lange | Book Review

If you are on the hunt for a really fast paced and engaging crime thriller then carry on reading as today I'm taking part in the blog tour for Nowhere To Be Found By Louisa De Lange, which was kindly sent to me by Orion Books*. If you like crime thrillers this is one you don't want to miss!

What is Nowhere To Be Found About:

SHE FOUND THE BODY. NOW LUCY BARKER IS MISSING . . .
Lucy Barker has disappeared, and her distraught husband Scott says he has no idea where she is.

But rumours abound about this seemingly perfect couple. Why is Scott behaving so strangely? And why was Lucy lying to him about where she went every Tuesday night?

Then, while investigating the recent murder of man found floating in a lake, DS Kate Munro learns that it was Lucy Barker who discovered the body and called the police.

Now she must find out if the two crimes are connected. Before Lucy’s time runs out . . .

What I liked about Nowhere To Be Found:

Nowhere To Be Found is the second book in a crime thriller series, although I haven't read the first book and I don't think that made much difference to the reading experience. I really enjoyed this crime thriller. It was really engaging and fast paced right from the very beginning.

The writing style was really good. I was hooked from the start. It was super easy to read. Such a page turner!

I also really liked the characters, especially DS Kate Munro. I love a strong independent female detective.

I've read a lot of British detective stories yet I still really enjoyed the plot of this one. It was unique and had me guessing till the very end.

What did I not like about Nowhere To Be Found:

I really enjoyed Nowhere To Be Found overall. The only thing I did not like about this book was the fact that it had quite a few tropes. For example, the female detective having an unsuccessful love life and there being a love interest in the detectives team.

I've read these tropes over and over. I am starting to find them a bit overdone now. However, apart from that it was a really enjoyable read.

Who do I recommend Nowhere To Be Found to:

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good British crime detective thriller, whether you have read lots like myself or you are just getting into the genre, this is a really enjoyable read for everyone.

I would just add there are some potential trigger warnings for violence, murder and suicide. So if you are triggered by those things maybe give this book a miss.

Overall thoughts:

Nowhere To Be Found is a really enjoyable, engaging and well written crime detective thriller. I highly recommend! I will definitely be looking to read more from this author in the future.
