Soon there’s a spark between them; Rupert likes Emily and invites her to stay. For good.
What I liked about The Perfect Couple:
The Perfect Couple is a really interesting domestic thriller which was full of suspense and totally kept me hooked till the very end.
One thing I really loved about this book was how creepy some parts were. There was a lot of tension and suspense in this book, which kept me engaged until the very end.
The writing was really engaging and it was a super quick and easy book to read.
There were also plenty of twists and turns, lots of which I didn't see coming. Although, I've read lots of domestic thrillers like this previously, I still really enjoyed the experience of reading this book.
What I did not like about The Perfect Couple:
Even though I did enjoy this book, I did struggle with some of the tropes. This book isn't that original or unique and does redo a lot of the same things I've read in domestic thrillers previously.
However, if you haven't read lots of domestic thrillers before, I think you'll really like this one.
Who do I recommend The Perfect Couple to:
I think people who have not read a lot of domestic thrillers will really enjoy this book. If you are new to the genre I think this is the perfect place to start if you want to get a taste of the domestic thriller world.
There are some potential trigger warnings for suicide, bipolar, violence and domestic abuse. If those are topics which upset you maybe give this book a miss
Overall thoughts:
Overall, I think this is a solid well written domestic thriller that is perfect for people new to the genre, highly recommend!
The Perfect Couple comes out on the 20th August
