The Hidden Hours By Sara Foster | Book Review

Today I'm taking part in the blog tour for the really interesting and well written psychological thriller The Hidden Hours by the talented Sara Foster which was kindly sent to me by Legend Press*. If you are looking for a really engaging and exciting psychological thriller to read, then carry on reading this blog post, you don't want to miss this one!

What Is The Hidden Hours About?

Arabella Lane is found dead in the Thames on a frosty winter's morning after the office Christmas party. No one is sure whether she jumped or was pushed. The one person who may know the truth is the office temp, Eleanor.

Having travelled to London to escape the repercussions of her traumatic childhood in Australia, tragedy seems to follow Eleanor wherever she goes. To her horror, she has no memory of the crucial hours leading up to Arabella's death - memory that will either incriminate or absolve her.

Caught in a crossfire of accusations, Eleanor fears she can't even trust herself, let alone the people around her. And soon, she'll find herself in a race against time to find out just what happened that night - and discover just how deadly some secrets can be...

What I Liked About The Hidden Hours:

One of the main things I loved about this book was the writing style. It was really engaging and super easy to read. I was hooked from the start.

I also liked how about half way through there was the introduction of a past period of time in the main characters life. That was really interesting to read and I felt it added a new layer to the story.

This was a really solid thriller which kept me wanting to read till the end. I highly recommend this book!

What I Did Not Like About The Hidden Hours:

Overall, I really enjoyed this thriller. The only problem I had was that the plot wasn't that original or unique. However, that is not a failure of the book. It's only an issue for me, as I have read a lot of thrillers before and read similar types of story lines before. Although, if you have not read a lot of thrillers I think you'll love this one!

Who Do I Recommend The Hidden Hours to:

I recommend this book to anyone who loves thrillers but especially people who are new to the genre. I think you'll love this thriller and it will leave you wanting more.

However, I would add some trigger warnings for violence, suicide, murder and domestic abuse references. If those are topics you find upsetting maybe give this one a miss.

Overall Thoughts:

Overall, I really enjoyed this thriller. I thought it was super engaging and very enjoyable. Highly recommend!
