Today I'm taking part in the blog tour for Don't Turn Around by Jessica Barry which was kindly sent to me by Vintage books*. If you are looking for a really well written and engaging thriller, then you are going to want to check this fantastic book out.
What I Liked About Don't Turn Around:
I really enjoyed the concept of this book. This book mainly focused on themes of women's safety which is a really important and relevant topic right now.
I also really enjoyed the writing style. This book was really easy to read and I was very engaged throughout.
I liked how this book went back and forth between the present and past tense so we could find out about why these girls were on the run but it never got confusing moving between the past and present tense.
What I Didn't Like About Don't Turn Around:
Although, this book did not wow me at any point, it was still an enjoyable read and one I would definitely recommend as it covers very important topics. I really didn't have any issues with this book.
Who Do I Recommend Don't Turn Around to:
I recommend this book to anyone who loves thrillers or to people who are new to genre and looking for a fantastic thriller to get themselves familiar with the genre. It's a brilliant read for all thriller lovers.
This book does include murder, violence, miscarriage and abortion. If those are topics you find difficult to read maybe give this book a miss.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall, I really recommend this book. It was very well-written and covered lots of important topics and themes. Well worth checking out if you enjoy thrillers.
