Let's Talk About Winter Foot Care

Let's Talk About Winter Foot Care Flexitol footcream beauty blogger UK

I'm not one to give much tender loving care to my feet any time of the year, let alone in winter time although it could be argued that it is even more important during this time of the year. I can't be the only one who totally forgets to look after their feet? Like, out of sight out of mind, that is my excuse anyway.

However, one of my new years' resolutions is to get back into my skin care. Not just for the winter months but for all year around. Sometimes I forget that it is not just my mind that needs love it's my body and skin too. I'm always preaching the importance of self-care which don't get me wrong is so important but looking after your skin is so important as well, which is why I made it one of my new years' resolutions.

We are all familiar with how hard it is to keep new years' resolutions. I can't lie, I'm as bad as keeping them as the next bad. That being said, I think this year is going to be different. Flexitol* sent me a couple of their foot care products to try, and I was literally over the moon because for once in my life I think I may be able to keep a new years' resolution.

Flexitol is a skin care brand that offers an extensive range of products from heel balms to hand creams. All of which are carefully produced and manufactured with extensive research into formulations and ingredients to ensure they are perfect when they go on sale.

Something which I absolutely love about Flexitol products is that they are suitable for all skin types. So if you have dry, oily or combination skin, they have you sorted. Or if you're like me and don't really know what your skin type is, Flexitol is going to be right up your street.

You may be asking why Flexitol products are so effective? Well, I ain't no scientist, but Flexitol products contain a key element that increases the bodies hydration. This fancy old chemical is called Urea. If your skin is dehydrated, you need products with this chemical in it as it helps reduce water loss from the skin and improves the amount of water the skin can hold.

The first product that I got to try and test out is the Flexitol Moisturising Foot Cream for dry and rough feet. Okay, so when it comes to foot creams I'm no expert, but I'll tell you one of my pet peeves with any kind of skin product- ones that don't absorb quickly.

Like, love, this girl hasn't got all day to sit around all day and wait for my foot cream to sink in. The great thing about the Flexitol products that I got to try is that they are fast absorbing. I know all skin care products claim that these days, but I genuinely think that Flexitol products do.

The moisturising foot cream contains vitamin E which makes your feet silky smooth. I know it did for me, anyway. I applied this in the morning and just before I went to bed in the evening and I noticed a lovely change in the softness of my feet. Granted I didn't have the dryest of feet, to begin with, so I reckon if you have proper callous feet this will work wonders for you.

The second product that I tried out was the Heel Balm. When it comes to dry feet the dryest part of my feet, hands down has to be my heels. I think they are for most people, right? I don't know what it is about heels, maybe because you use them the most? I told you I wasn't a foot expert, don't blame me for my lack of knowledge.

The heel balm is medically proven to help dry and cracked heels. As a said before, there is a lot of science that goes into these products, which you know means they are professional. The heel balm is no different. The Heel balm claims to get to work in 48 hours, although I didn't notice the results straight away after a week or so of using the product every morning and evening I really did. My heels are a lot less cracked and dry now, which I'm so thank you for.

I really couldn't recommend Flexitol products enough. At this time of year, what with cold temperatures and central heating, your skin, in particular, your feet can really get the full effect of these elements, so making sure you have a good range of foot care products in your skin care range is essential.

Flexitol is the perfect brand of foot care products, they are affordable and so accessible. You can pick them up all leading drugstores in the U.K as well major supermarkets such as Asda. Not to mention some local pharmacies.

If you're looking for some new foot care products this winter, you need to get your hands on some Flexitol products. I was so impressed and couldn't recommend them enough especially if you struggle with dry and cracked skin/
