Let's Talk About Boobs

Let's Talk About Boobs lifestyle blogger UK taboo bras

Breasts, boobs, bosoms, breasticles whatever you care to call them, just like many things in life they come in different sizes! But that doesn't always mean that bigger is always best! For example, if you are going on holiday travelling by plane and you need some travel shampoo! Okay, there is smaller sizes and bigger sizes- maybe the bigger bottle is cheaper, so you buy that one! You get to the airport but you can't take it! So in the end, you were probably just better off getting the smaller bottle! Okay, this is a weird analogy, I am aware but you can see the point I am trying to make here!

My breasts aren't something that I have ever really had a problem with! I have always had naturally small boobs something which I don't ever think I wanted to change! However recently I have kind of been thinking of the perils of having smaller and bigger breasts! I have also recently started to have some issues with my breast size which kind of spurred on this post! Do feel free to carry on the discussion in the comments below I would love to know what troubles you have had in relation to the size of your Breasts!

Okay, so the main issue I have always had with small boobs is the lack of variety when it comes to buying bras for ladies with smaller boobs! Just because my breasts are of a smaller variety it does not mean that every bra I want to buy is my first bra or that I am 11/12 years old and want the plainest most boring bras going! Why can't I have a nice pretty bra? That's Lacey or has a girly pattern? No, because apparently only fuller chested girls are given that privilege!

I guarantee that if you try going into any high street fashion shop the selection for C/D cups is going to be a lot bigger than A cups! I mean 80% of the time they don't have any in my size but if they do, firstly I am gobsmacked but then these feelings of happiness and relief are shortly taken away when I found out they only have three choices. After going around and around the bra section so many times that I am so dizzy I feel like I am playing dizzy dinosaurs I finally have to decide between plain white, plain pink or wait for it... Plain pink with a heart!!!!!

Let's Talk About Boobs lists taboos lifestyle blogger UK

I knew what you are probably thinking, "Why don't you go to *insert expensive shop of choice here* Call me frugal but I don't want to spend £20 on a bra! I just don't see it has a treat, I see it as a necessity. There are so many things in the world I would rather spend £20 on! Like, if you want to treat yourself to a new bra you go for it but I why should I have to spend a lot of money on something that I need! It just baffles me! My mum has got all the choice in the world when it comes to bra shopping but there's me with my three choices! It ends up with me hating my boobs and the whole prospect of going bra shopping! Surely this isn't right?!

Although it isn't all doom and gloom! My back never hurts, I can run pretty well without them hitting me or making any awkward noises, if I wanted to wear a top without a bra I could probably get away with it and I don't have any awkward gaps in my shirts! Do these things compromise the crap bra selection for smaller Breast sizes?! I don't know! But I would love to hear your opinions in the comments below!

By the way, I am not trying to claim that smaller boobs are better than bigger boobs! You do you! The most important thing is that you love your breasts- whatever size or shape they are!

YES?!

Thank you very much for reading!

Do you have big boobs or small boobs?! Do you find it hard to buy bras? What other difficulties do you have?! Let me know below!

Thank you very much for reading, as always x

  1. OMG I actually love this blog, it is one of the things that's rarely spoken about but so should be. I find the hardest thing involving my boobs is when I am dancing, finding a bra that provides the right support but still manages to compliment my lovely stewpot leotard is definitely a hard thing to do. Oh well xx

  2. I hate bra shopping. Me being a skinny girl but with a E-cup mean I have the same problems when it comes to bra shopping. Lucky for me we have one store in Sweden where I can find them to kind of good prices. But never any fun lace or colors just plain and boring black./ida

  3. I have D sized boobs and they just get in the way! I manage to bang them into things everyday, although they are helpful if you need to carry something big as you can hold it with your hands and then keep it in place with your boobs😂 Also very interesting about the lack of bra choices you have, because I feel that only small boobs have the pretty lacey bras, and anything D or above only seem to have white/black/beige xx Www.geraldineswonderfulworld.co.uk

  4. I have zero boobs! Hooray for the itty bitty titty committee! I don't even wear real bras anymore, I go for flimsy little things made of lace because they're waaaay more comfortable and I've got nothing to support anyway. ASOS have some cute and affordable ones if you're ever stuck for options, but I totally agree, the underwear world needs more options for little boobies!

  5. I am also on the itty bitty titty committee! It has it's advantages and disadvantages. I just hate the way for some tops you need a bit of cleavage, which I don't have! But at least I don't get back pain from them as that sounds terrible.

  6. Coming from someone with bigger boobs find anything above a DD that is pretty is almost as impossible I also get really jealous that girls with smaller boobs can wear no bra!

  7. Love your size analogy haha! I have size 34F boobs and I find it impossible to buy bras and bikinis. Most shops don't cater for my size, and those who do only provide really basic, white, black and nude T-shirt bras. I find Debenhams to be the best for my size. They're bikinis are gorgeous, but the price tags are a little hard to stomach!xx

  8. I agree with this on so many levels, but from a bigger boob point of view! Shops hardly ever stock my size and when they do they're so plain and yuck - is it too much to ask for a pretty bra that doesn't cost the earth?!

  9. First off - I loved this post!
Second - I totally get where you are coming from - when i was a lot smaller in size i was a 30 - you can barely find bloody 32! let alone a 30! It was awful - £25 a bra from M&S when you're 18/19 isn't fun!
But now I'm in between (not huge, no longer small either)- and there is a lot more choice in my life - its amazing. Until I get my period and they balloon - its painful to walk to the kitchen at work! I just make faces the whole way down due to the discomfort - my colleagues must think I'm strange. Why do we girls have it so hard?! Periods and boobs - no fun!

  10. So I think I have the weirdest boobs ever because I've been fitted twice, once when I was 16 and they told me I was a D, and once when I was 19 and they told me I was a DD. But I don't think my boobs are big at all! I feel like I have fairly small boobs? I always think they've got it wrong haha! I think if you are a 34C then you're sorted, other than that it's pot luck if you find a nice bra!

  12. Bra shopping wrecks me so much, my boobies are big and ive given up on wired bra's, they hurt me too much, so i now wear sport bra's, so comfy and hold me up properly =]

  13. My boobs are small so I usually don't wear a bra. I'll just wear a lacy crop top or a soft sports bra, much more comfortable than a metal bra. Plus they don't really hurt or anything when I exercise so I don't have much of a problem. I think bra buying in general is just a a hassle!

  14. This is a really interesting post, I'll be honest, because of the (quite average) size I am, I've never had any problems but you definitely shouldn't be having to go somewhere expensive just because of your size!

  15. Unfortunately I was blessed with bigger boobs, it's a real pain in the neck for me to go bra shopping, mostly because "sorry it's out of stock" or, the bra's are a bit too old for me. I'm nineteen, I want something classy... not skin toned and drab haha! Which to my dismay is all the shops in my town sell, so I have to go further a field for a decent measurement, and a decent bra! x

  16. Love this post! I've always been quite self conscious about having small boobs and I do spend quite a bit of money on buying push up bras. I think you're right though, the important thing is to love your boobs and if buying a nice bra helps with that then I think that's okay :) xx

  18. High five because I have small boobs too! I was so insecure about being flat chested a few year ago because of the influences of the media, but now I fricking love having small boobs because they're so convenient. Shopping for bras is a bit of a pain because most shops' smallest size is a B but having small boobs does mean that I can wear cute bralettes without worrying about things popping out or jiggling about.

  21. Deciding not to wear a bra anymore is one of the best decisions i've ever made, i have average size boobs and just find every bra SO uncomfortable and like you i hate spending lots on bra so thought i'd just go without aha! i only wear them with certain tops or dresses. Feels so much better (and free hahaha)

    Great post :)

  22. I have the problem of a really small rib cage but average sized boobs, I've ended up with a 30 E size, which is near impossible to find, and my boobs aren't actually that big! I used to be a 32C! And that was perfect, always had the size in every style!
